Nalbinding is an ancient “knitting” technique that creates a finished material that is stretchy and thick like knit cloth, but it is done with just a single eyed needle. It predates both knitting and crochet; but it is not well known today because it is not as efficient as either. The project for the class will be a simple pair of wrist warmers done in the Oslo stitch. You will need to complete the first one at home before coming back on the 17th to learn how to start the second one.
Examples of more complex projects will be shown along with a discussion of my own journey through this obscure fiber art.
